Introducing the Anniversary RAQS ART AWARDS Showcase!
Join us as we celebrate 15 incredible years of dance with a unique fusion of a bellydance competition and an inspiring talent show! This one-of-a-kind event offers dancers the chance to showcase their skills before esteemed judges, with opportunities to win exciting prizes across our traditional categories: Amateur, Professional, and Groups. For those looking to express their artistry further, our thrilling Creative Category invites mixed-level performers to bring their visions to life, with three inspiring themes to choose from.

Categories:
SOLO AMATEUR: From intermediate/advanced level, a minimum of 3 years of dance studies with appropriate stage experience is required. Style: any Middle Eastern dance style, including folklore and fusion, as long as it is primarily based on Oriental dance.
SOLO PROFESSIONAL: For dancers with minimum 5 years of professional performance or teaching experience. Any Middle Eastern dance style, including folklore and fusion, as long as it is primarily based on Oriental dance.
GROUP: For any level, any Middle Eastern dance style, including folklore and fusion, as long as it is primarily based on Oriental dance. Minimum 2 dancers.
CREATIVE: For groups and solos, any level. You are required to submit the inspiration or concept for your dance during registration. All participants will receive feedback and guidance on their draft. Only committed dancers with a piece specifically created for this topic—rooted in Oriental or Middle Eastern dance—are eligible to enter. Three topics to choose from for 2025: My Raqs Sharki Journey, Divas of the East, Reflections
Each dances can be up to 3 minutes.
Video submission is mandatory for all Raqs Art Awards nominees.
Organizers reserve the right to change your category after registration or suggest moving to the Open Stage if there are significant differences in skill levels.
To perform on stage, you must be a festival participant. A paid festival pass (Full Pass or at least two Day Passes) is required for all stage performers. There are registration fee discounts for Full Pass holders.
